Home again in style! I haven’t got the energy to review and amend all the previous posts I couldn’t put an image up for: I have barely got the energy to put this one up! Just the few seconds taken to get a photograph has played havoc with the print on this one. I am still using Sally’s printer as mine is still not printing properly. I am trying to fix it this evening but to test it I need to buy some more cartridges! Ouch, expensive if I still can’t fix it. Anyway it looks as if HP pigment inksĀ are less waterproof than Canon dye inks.
I’m just about to leave Ramsgate after a successful and interesting show and decided to do my piece for the day without pressure before I left. It’s an interesting and very different one.
Last day of my show in Ramsgate and I hadn’t done my piece this morning so it didn’t get done till this evening. It’s been raining all day, but it’s even heavier tonight do the envelope did get a little spattered. I’ll add a picture when I’m back home.
I made sure that I did my #Letter365 before we opened up the show this morning and in the post this afternoon. Still having problems using the WordPress app with photos so you’ll all have to wait until I get back home.
I have surpassed myself and got today’s piece in the box before 8.00 – that’s 8am! I started it last night after midnight and finished it off this morning. I have a busy day setting up my show and the pv tonight, so it’s good to get it done.
I may have started early but I forgot to take a back up photo with my phone to post here. No big deal really as I’m having problems using this WP app now anyway! Things working better this morning and when I looked at one of yesterday’s rejected pieces thought it wasn’t that bad after all! But I can’t cheat and use one I did earlier!
I was right to be concerned about the IT side of this while away, only I never expected it would be that my WordPress app wouldn’t let me upload a photo! I’ll try again later.
I perhaps should have been more concerned about all the other stress factors that could affect and, indeed, have affected my ability to create something I was happy with! I jettisoned 3 pieces before managing something that passed the test.
After spending 20 minutes failing to be able to work with the image I have given up. Last time I used this ago it was a little clunky but worked fine, but this update has made it impossible to use on my HTC one M8. I’ll try my tablet tomorrow. Sorry if it’s a bit broken.
I am going away for the next week and I will be busy setting up and manning my exhibition in Ramsgate as part of the Summer Squall festival. I’ll be fine with doing the art work and getting them in the post on time, but with limited IT and no broadband added to little time, the quality or even presence of my blog entries is at risk.
Still that is in the future. Today’s piece is in a combination of media that I have not used in this project to date. In retrospect I wish I had not chosen something that took so long!
